Why Worthy Turtle?
As a little girl our daughter called her injured hand “turtle.” Of course, we always knew she was worthy. Eventually, she achieved the amazing goals of walking, talking and even reading … one turtle step at a time. Now, we have new goals for more understanding and opportunity for all people. It’s possible!!! It’s Worthy Turtle.

High School Scholarship Essay
In 5th grade I learned about a man named Nick Vujicic. He has no arms and legs, but he still has a family and shares his story to help others. When I heard him, I thought, “I would like to do that!”
By sharing my story, I could help someone, and they could help someone else. I want to inspire people not to be held back by their challenges. I was born with cerebral palsy and epilepsy, but I also have a happy personality and love to help people. This is why I want to be a motivational speaker. I have already done some speaking and I will do even more.
If I’m privileged to get this scholarship, I will use it to hire a speech coach and to help others. Every day I meet people that need help and I want to help them. I know I can!
